Lemon verbena is a medicinal plant of the Aloysia citriodora species, rich in flavonoids, phenolic compounds, essential oils and verbascoside, with antispasmodic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and is therefore popularly used to help treat intestinal cramps, diarrhea or excess gas, for example.
